Ok, so it's been quite a hiatus. But I'm back. This semester was tumultuous to say the absolute least. While trying hard to understand what Uganda meant to me and what I will do with the rest of my life, my family suffered a loss from which we have yet to recover. Peter Norman Curtin, beloved cousin, son, brother, nephew, and friend died on October 10th during the last stretch of his first marathon. His was a star that shone so bright, it is terribly difficult to imagine what sense there might be in it having been extinguished so soon. His work was just and brilliant, his heart was true and large, and his smile lit ten rooms at a time. He is lost to us now in body but never in spirit, and we must try to live our lives in a way that will honor him. So, while I cannot review 2009 without remembering Pete, I can look forward to 2010. My last semester in Austin will be spent figuring out what to do next and enjoying the city I've grown to love with friends. What better way to do that than with a list? Pete made lists.

Review and Recovery
