So I realize now that i didn't really give the blog a proper send-off before I disappeared into the African jungle for 10 weeks. Between my last post and when I took off from Boston on May 24th, I finished my first year of graduate school, traveled home to Rhode Island for some R&R and wedding prep, and stood for my oldest friend while she became a wife. Since I landed at Entebbe Airport in Uganda on May 25th, my life has been full of newness. It is infinitely difficult to relay in words the experiences I've had here, but I promise I will try. Along with pictures (that are also less than excellent at doing the scenery justice), I hope in the next few weeks to put together a decent story about my time here in Uganda. What I've seen, what I've learned, what I've done, and why despite a lot of negativity at times, I really believe I've found a life's work.
Mzungu bye, until August 7th.
