NYE in NYC

This is going to be year 3 out of the last 4 that I've done New Year's Eve in New York City. This year, it's not with Jared and company, although I'll see him for a couple nights beforehand. The triple threat lady cousins are getting together for their first EVER ringing-in of the new year together. It actually blows my mind that we've never done this before, but anyway.. first time for everything. I also get to see Miss Katya Elder tomorrow and the next day and be her personal tour guide for her inaugural trip to the Big Apple. I say inaugural because no one ever goes to New York City once. Duh. My plan is to pick her up at Grand Central, walk north and west to swing by the big tree, down 5th avenue passing the Empire State and Flatiron buildings, grabbing a glass of wine or a beer somewhere in the 20s around 3rd. The next day we'll do the village, the WTC, and some of Brooklyn that I've never explored. The park too, if Katie insists. It's just so damn cold up here.

Last night in Westfield, everyone but Jimmy is gone. We got through it, so that's good. And we know now that we can. Can't wait for 2010 to begin, because on the whole, 2009 sucked a ton. So long 2009, may the next decade see us achieve all the promise of which we are capable.
