Creative Procrastination
After a long lunch and a little library time, I watched a few minutes of Flight 93 which turned out to be a terrible idea except that it led me to some interesting NY Times archive searches. I looked up what was published in the Times on September 11, 2001. Science Times (it was a Tuesday) published an article about high-energy physicists building particle accelerators at CERN that may be able to produce miniature black holes on demand. It was odd to read the paper that was sitting on desks and doorsteps the morning that changed everyones lives. Then, wanting to stop thinking about 9/11, I looked up my birthday. The only remotely interesting article I could find from January 25, 1985 was an NCAA rule change to blocking rules. And a restaurant review. Anyway, this was an interesting exercise and I did find out that I was born on a Friday.

I looked up my bday and all I could find that was interesting was:
1 - An article about how the 49ERs beat the Lions on a field goal. I think it was an early sign of my future friendship with Jim.
2 - Gladys Night played in NYC that night.
